Interview Outfit

I have been procrastinating creating a blog for the longest time so while I am still on off season and the school year is still in the first couple of months, I'm going to put my minimal free time to good use. Recently I applied for a competitive medical internship at a hospital that I insanely wanted. So after I sent in my application and got a spot for the interview, it was time to do the most important part of prepping that there is: picking out an outfit. Now any full figured girl like myself can often get those mini heart palpitations when it comes to shopping and picking an outfit. I fluctuate anywhere from a size 12 to 16 and had always sworn to myself that I would NEVER set foot in a "plus-size" store. But....after getting tired of disappointment and tears that follow going to all the stores my friends go to, I caved. Now don't get me wrong I LOVE clothes and shopping but I didn't want to be one of those girls, especially since I'm only a teenager, that had to shop at a full figured store especially since from my experiences plus sized sections in regular stores look old lady like and matronly so I thought that a full store dedicated to it would be the same. But, I'm so glad that I sucked it up because I came away so happy! The clothes were stylish and flattering. There were no tears and no disappointed attitudes. I loved the way I looked in my outfit because it highlighted my best features (my butt and my waist). I was also one of the best dressed there (don't make the same mistake as one girl and wear booty shorts to an interview...*shutter*). So if you are like how I was and are dreading the transition to a plus-size store, just go in and see how you like it! Most likely you will walk away with a super hot outfit that will make you feel good about yourself.
The skirt, shoes, and belt I got from Lane Bryant, the necklace and earrings from Forever 21, and I borrowed the white button down from my mama.
So if you  made it to the end of my super lengthy first blog post, I commend you. Feel free to drop a comment about your first experience going into a full figured store, or if you are putting it off like I was!(:

(Still waiting to see if I got the internship *fingers crossed*)
